The paper issued by the State Council and General Office of the CPC put forward to boost the keynote technology of AI/VR/AR and make breakthrough globally on some advanced and unconventional technology. According to the National Technology Innovation Program of 13th Five Year Plan, there is an explicit plan on the artificial intelligence, virtual reality and other cutting-edge technologies. It is underlined to breakthrough a batch of crucial technologies such as the integration of virtual and augmented reality, the presentation on true 3D, registration on real time location. By enhancing the applications of industries, medical, culture and entertainment industries, it is urgent to cultivate the virtual reality and augmented reality industries. Last but not least, a host of VR industry bases have been set in Fujian, Nanchang, Changsha, Qingdao, and other cities in response to the government polices.
In the future, the layout should be planned in advance to do the top-level design. We should achieve the core technology breakthroughs and strengthen cultural and brand building through the financial special support for virtual reality technology industrialization.
